Different people would be looking for different aspects in their work that enables them to continue to work for their employers.
The overall impact of employee interactions i.e. How employees feel about their work, well-being, and their connection to their workplace, across their entire professional journey starting from their recruitment to training, upskilling, promotions, and retiring can be described as employee experience.

It has gained considerable attention as a tool for improving recruitment and retention, profit margins, and other organizational outcomes.

The objective is to create a positive and supportive work environment which will ultimately lead to increased employee engagement, job satisfaction and staff retention .

Some theories that help understand the importance of this in modern day organizational environment.

An employee experience model is a framework that outlines how a company can help its staff members feel happy, satisfied, cared for, valued, respected, and trusted in their workplace.

Such models or frameworks go beyond usual pay and perks and provide quantifiable as well as intangible results. A great engagement model can help make your company a thriving and happy place to work — increasing the chance that everyone will perform at their best and get great results for enduring success.

Companies with the best employee experience offer their employees a caring culture that supports their growth, a sense of purpose, and an inclusive and empathetic work environment.

·

Leverage data to address gaps in your employee experience
Using regular data collection and analysis Google detect the gaps and missing links in the EX strategy before they become a significant. By leveraging employee experience surveys, in combination with advanced analytics they pinpoint actionable insights.

Give customer experience and employee experience equal importance Collecting data on both employee and customer experience, using analytics to connect the two gives the insights, using which Sephora then brings in personalization, removing barriers to work, enabling a sense of “fun,” and reinforcing its corporate social responsibility.

Make your employees’ priorities your priorities
An employee’s personal goals, ambitions, and challenges can also influence how they experience your workplace. For instance, a young parent worried about childcare or a fresh graduate with student debt will struggle to achieve optimal productivity at work. Like in
Starbucks you can address this by aligning your benefits to employee priorities, ensuring they receive a positive experience from being part of your company.

The average number of hours spent at the office is continually increasing. It is vital that during this time, employees feel a sense of belonging and community at work. They shouldn’t just be clocking in, doing their job, and clocking out. Positive employee experience at The Cheesecake Factory includes emotional rewards for coming into the office every day, apart from the salaries and benefits earned.

Treat your employees like “family”

Ensure that culture is the cornerstone of your business

Culture is a key determining factor for employee experience quality. At Salesforce, employees are aware of a clear set of values: “Trust, Customer Success, Innovation, Giving Back, Equality, Wellness, Transparency, and Fun.” This is encapsulated in the company’s “Ohana” spirit, something that’s been around its early days in 1999. Ohana creates a community of employees, partners, customers, and alumni, where everyone helps each other out.

Employee Experience is no longer just a buzzword—it’s a key driver of organizational success.
